Safeguarding & parents

Your child’s safety comes first

Every Skouted showcase, training session, fixture and tour is built around the welfare of the young people taking part. Here’s how we keep players safe – and what parents and guardians can expect.

Our commitments

How we keep players safe

Qualified, DBS-checked coaches

Every coach working with players at Skouted and Manchester Rose FC is FA-qualified and holds an enhanced DBS check.

FA safeguarding standards

We follow The FA’s safeguarding policy and guidance for youth football at all of our sessions, showcases and fixtures.

Parents at events

Players under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at showcases and trial events.

Safe messaging in the app

The Skouted app’s messaging hub lets players and scouts talk safely inside the app, without sharing personal contact details.

Supervised tours

On UK and international tournaments, players travel and stay with qualified, DBS-checked staff, with clear codes of conduct for players and staff.

Respect and inclusion

We operate a zero-tolerance approach to bullying, abuse and discrimination of any kind, on or off the pitch.

How we look after player information

What we collect

When you register we ask for the player’s name, date of birth, position, club and contact details for the parent or guardian, plus any footage you choose to share.

Why we collect it

Only to assess and select players for events, and to contact you about them. We never sell player information.

Who sees it

Player details are only shared with clubs and scouts in connection with selection and trials. You can ask us to update or delete your information at any time by emailing info@skouted.co.uk.

Do I need to stay at a showcase?

Yes, if your child is under 16 a parent or legal guardian must be with them. Parents of older players are always welcome to watch.

How are players selected for fixtures and tournaments?

Selection is based on quality, performance and potential at our showcase and trial events, alongside footage uploaded to the Skouted app.

What happens after a showcase?

Standout players can be selected for fixtures against professional academies and for our UK and international tournament squads. Where clubs show interest, we contact the parent or guardian first.
